Rx Box® applications recently concluded an extensive clinical testing period. The intent was to gather information regarding usability and clinical functionality so as to determine whether changes or bug fixes were necessary prior to a commercial release. We are pleased to report that both applications (Rx Box® Patient and Rx Box® Clinician) exceeded expectations and proceeded to the next phase of development with only minor tweaks necessitated by the testing. Four outpatient physical therapy clinics located in the Midwest United States were selected as test sites. They are: 1) Center for Muscle & Joint Therapy, Superior, WI, 2) Center Therapy, Duluth, MN, 3) Luverne Community Hospital, Luverne, MN, and 4) St. Mary’s Hospital Superior, Superior, WI. Each site was responsible for incorporating use of the applications into its daily clinical routine. Any patient that received a disc or printed handout (from Rx Box® Clinician) was asked to complete a survey form. Therapists recorded daily notes germane to the testing and submitted exit surveys that summarized their experience. Comments from patients regarding their experience with Rx Box®:
